Registered Sex Offender Jailed for Unlawful Acts via Web Cam
On 7/13/10, at approximately 1030 hrs, during a proactive on-line investigation, unemployed registered sex offender Stephen B. Vansack was observed exposing his genitals and masturbating via web cam to a person whom he believed was a minor. By 1400 hours on 7/13/10 detectives had determined Vansack's probable location and while Vansack was still on-line discussing sex acts with his intended victim detectives went to the dwelling, interrupted his computer use and arrested him. Vansack made partial admissions to the offenses. A search warrant is being prepared and his computer will be seized. Vansack was booked on one felony count of aggravated luring a minor for sexual exploitation.
The case will be submitted to the Maricopa County Attorney"s Office for charging.
