ICAC Continuation Grant Funds Train 25 ICAC Cyber-Soldiers to Investigate and Apprehend Internet Offenders

January 29, 2010.  The Arizona ICAC Task Force used ICAC Continuation Grant Funds provided through the Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention to train 25 law enforcement officers in the basic investigative techniques of Internet crimes against children.  Students participated in an intensive five-day computer lab and lecture course taught by several veteran law enforcement trainers. 

Attendees included investigators and special agents from several Arizona agencies including Gilbert, Tucson, Mesa, Scottsdale, Pinal County Sheriffs, Yuma, Tempe, Eloy, Arizona State University, Apache Junction, Glendale and Phoenix. Also in attendance were federal agents from ICE and the US Postal Inspection Service. Attendees from other agencies included investigators from Klamath Falls PD (Oregon), Oregon State Police, Whitemarsh Township PD (Pennsylvania).
