Arrest - Sexual Exploitation of a Minor (unlawful images) – Kevin Shane Mitchell

In November of 2009, investigators from the Phoenix PD/Arizona Internet Crimes against Children Task Force began a proactive investigation into unlawful images depicting the sexual exploitation of minors that led to a residence near 35th Avenue and W. Peoria in Phoenix. On January 20, 2010, a search warrant was served at the Phoenix residence of Kevin Shane Mitchell.  Mitchell, a 39 year-old unemployed unmarried man was arrested.  Mitchell was booked into the Maricopa County Jail and charged with three counts of sexual exploitation of a minor (unlawful images).   Assisting in the investigation and warrant were investigators from Phoenix PD/AZ ICAC Task Force, Scottsdale PD and Tempe PD. The case will be submitted to the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office for charging.
